Thank you to whomever did trail maintenance on the north side of Black Mountain in May. Specifically, someone trimmed brush on the trail that leads from the north parking lot to Miner's Loop.

Forum category: General discussion about San Diego hikes / San Diego hikes
Forum thread: Black Mountain (Rancho Penasquitos) - May 2010

On Saturday, 11/21/2009, temps were in comfortable 50s and 60s, so I ventured up El Cajon Mtn for a good training workout. My previous adventure on this roller-coaster hike was 10/17/2009 when temps were in 90s and the trail kicked my butt! If you know this trail, you know that the real punishment is on the trip "down" which includes several aerobic "ups" in order to get "down." It was a pleasure to hike at full power for hours with good temps.

Each time I hike this trail, I notice small improvements. In the past year, signs have been added at three trail-jeep trail junctions.

Forum category: General discussion about San Diego hikes / San Diego hikes
Forum thread: Lakeside "El Cap" El Cajon Mtn 11/21/2009
